Microvast to Attend FutureBattery25 — Free Virtual Access Available

Microvast announces participation in FutureBattery25 Berlin – event banner with text promoting sustainable battery production in Europe

Microvast GmbH EMEA has confirmed via LinkedIn that it will attend FutureBattery25, a major European event focused on the future of battery innovation, energy storage, and electrification.

The event takes place in Berlin this November, but it’s also available to watch online at no cost, giving anyone interested in the battery sector a chance to tune in.

What Is FutureBattery25?

FutureBattery is one of the key annual conferences focused on scaling up sustainable and industrialised battery production in Europe. It brings together leading figures from across the energy, automotive, and manufacturing industries to discuss the challenges and opportunities in building a resilient battery value chain.

This year’s event is especially relevant as Europe pushes for greater battery independence and localised supply chains. Microvast’s involvement reflects its growing presence in this space, particularly through its operations in Germany.

Official Announcement via LinkedIn

Microvast made the announcement on the 24th July 2025 through its official LinkedIn page, highlighting its commitment to driving clean energy technology in Europe and inviting attendees to connect with their team at the conference, either in person or online.

The company has been increasingly visible in the European market, and this event is another opportunity for them to demonstrate how their modular battery systems fit into Europe’s evolving clean tech landscape.

In a recent LinkedIn post from the Future Battery Forum, the organisers confirmed that Dr. Wenjuan Mattis, Chief Technology Officer at Microvast, is among their distinguished panelists, contributing to the session titled *“The EV battery dilemma: Performance, price or both?”*   Dr. Mattis plays a key role at Microvast, leading its advanced technology development efforts and driving innovation in high-performance battery cells, packs, and energy storage systems. Her participation underscores Microvast’s strong influence in shaping both the technical and strategic direction of Europe’s electrification agenda.

What to Expect from Microvast at FutureBattery25

Microvast is expected to showcase several of the innovations it announced earlier this year at Smart Energy Week in Tokyo. Those announcements marked a major step forward in both electric mobility and stationary energy storage:

Fast-Charging Battery Cells

Microvast’s lithium-ion cell lines — including HpTO, MpCO, and HpCO — are designed for ultra-fast charging (0–80% in under 20 minutes) and long life (up to 8,000 cycles). These are particularly suited for commercial electric vehicles such as buses, trucks, and construction equipment.

Next-Generation Battery Packs

The new MV-B and MV-C packs offer approximately 20% more energy or power density in the same physical footprint. They remain backward-compatible with existing Microvast systems and meet international safety standards including UNECE R100.3 and UL2580.

ME6 Battery Energy Storage System

The ME6 BESS container is Microvast’s overhaulable stationary storage solution. Built with 565Ah LFP cells, it offers up to 10,000+ cycles and is designed for grid-scale and industrial use, providing long-term value through easier maintenance and extended service life.

Supporting Europe’s Battery Ecosystem

With a manufacturing facility in Ludwigsfelde, Germany, Microvast is contributing to Europe’s goal of reducing reliance on imported batteries and building greener, shorter supply chains. Its modular approach, overhaulable systems, and recyclable designs align with current EU priorities for battery sustainability and lifecycle efficiency.

Summary

Microvast has confirmed it will attend FutureBattery25, as announced via LinkedIn.

The event focuses on sustainable and industrialised battery production in Europe.

Microvast is expected to present recent innovations in EV battery tech, modular energy storage, and solid-state R&D.

Attendance is available online for free, making it accessible to anyone interested in clean energy and battery innovation.

The event reflects Microvast’s ongoing expansion in the European market, with a focus on scalable, long-lasting energy solutions.
